Overview

The classic wedding outline is a wedding ceremony that can last from 30-45 minutes.  It provides room for a special reading and allows for friends or family to participate in the wedding ceremony.  This outline format also includes a special place where Dorrien can mention on behalf of the couple any special thanks, a parent who may have passed away or a family member who has made an impact in the couples lives.  This ceremony can include the following:

Sample Wedding Outline

Welcome: Welcome everyone 

Giving away of the Bride: Who is giving this woman to be married to this man?

Statement of Purpose:  Informs guest of why they are here.

Declaration of Intent:  Affirms that you both agree to what you are about to do.

'Dan' will you have this woman to be your wife; to live together in the holy covenant of marriage?  Will you love her, comfort her, honor her and keep her, in sickness and in health and forsaking all others, be faithful to her so long as you both shall live?  If so answer, “I will.”
